Despite record levels of rain and snow, personal fireworks are still illegal in most Denver areas.  Lucky for us, there is no shortage of fun, family friendly events with incredible fireworks displays!! Take a peek below fo ra list of our favorite Independence Day celebrations in and around Denver !

Tuesday, July 2nd


Colorado Rockies Fireworks

Where: Coors Field
When: July 2-3; fireworks post-game

The Colorado Rockies Fireworks Shows are arguably one of the best shows in the Denver are each year.  This year,  the Rockies play the Houston Astros at the Coors Field at 6:10 p.m. As of the date of this post, there are still tickets available for the shows on both the 2nd & 3rd!


Glendale Fireworks Display

Where: Creekside Park (E. Virginia Ave. & S. Cherry St.)
When: July 2; fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Wednesday, July 3rd


Independence Eve Celebration

Where: Denver's Civic Center Park (Broadway & Colfax)
When: July 3; 4-9:30 p.m

Denver's largest Independence Day Celebration is back and better than ever this year! More music, more craft beer and more wine gardens! The event will include a free concert featuring Chris Daniels & the Kings and the Colorado Symphony.  The event will happen come rain or shine.


Littleton Red, White and You Celebration

Where: Clement Park (7306 W. Bowles Ave)
When: July 3; 5-10p.m, fireworks at 9:30 p.m

NEW Kids Zone area (located on soccer fields) will feature: free entertainment, ticketed bounce houses & climbing wall, food vendors, restrooms, and fireworks viewing. For the adults, beer and wine garden! Live entertainment is an interactive rock & roll show by the Nacho Men, featuring hits from to 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's!

Thursday, July 4th


Arvada Fireworks Display

Where: Stenger Sports Complex
When: July 4; 7-9 p.m, fireworks at 9 p.m


Aurora 4th of July Spectacular

Where: Aurora Municipal Center
When: July 4; music at 6 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Live music and delicious food. There will be free activities before the fireworks display.


Boom Town 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza

Where: Black Hawk
When: July 4; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

If you're looking to escape the crowd of the events in the city, Blackhawk is just what you need.  The mountain casino town goes REALLY big for the 4th of July, we think you'll be surprised! The event is very popular, so get there early and try your luck at the slots, before enjoying the largest fireworks display in Colorado.


Broomfield Great American Picnic

Where: Broomfield County Commons Park
When: July 4; activities at 5 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

The celebration kicks off at 5:00 pm . At 5:30, a bike parade for all to show off their patriotic spirit!  Enjoy a free concert with the "Spinphony" and “Soul X”. Bring your picnic dinner or enjoy a dinner from our vendors at the park. Pony rides, inflatables, face painting and balloon twisting will all be available.  Don't miss the beer garden!

Castle Rock

Fireworks in Castle Rock

Where: Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course
When: July 4; fireworks at dusk

Fireworks will blast off from the Santa Fe Quarry butte above Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course. There is no formal event along with these fireworks.


Elitch Gardens Fireworks Extravaganza

Where: Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park
When: July 4; fireworks around 10 p.m.

Denver - Green Valley Ranch

Fireworks Spectacular

Where: Green Valley Ranch Golf Club
When: July 4; festivities at 6 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

FREE Kids Zone, a collection of games, performers and activities will be available from 6-8pm. Live performances from 6-9:30PM. Food & alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening. 


4th of July Festival & Fireworks

Where: Cornerstone Park
When: July 4; festivities at 3 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Enjoy kids activities, local business vendors and food trucks. Bring a picnic dinner and blankets to watch the fireworks! Park and activities will continue after the fireworks.

Estes Park

4th of July Celebration

Where: Lake Estes
When: July 4; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Spend the afternoon enjoying hiking, bike riding, paddle boating, miniature golf or check out the Coolest Car Show. More than 100 vehicles, from "Steam -to-Electric" will be displayed.  At 7 p.m., the Estes Village Band tunes up for its annual patriotic concert. Fireworks over the lake begin at 9:30!

Highlands Ranch

July 4th Celebration

Where: Highland Heritage Regional Park
When: July 4; festivities at 4 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Celebrations for the 4th of July begin in the afternoon with balloon twisters, face painters, inflatables, and live music. A hot dog eating contest will be held at 5:30, and fireworks begin at 9:30! Tickets are required for rides and games.  Food vendors are cash/credit only. 


Big Boom Bash

Where: Jeffco Stadium
When: July 4; festivities at 5:30 p.m., fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

kids' activities, local food trucks, a beer garden and more, highlighted by a 20-minute fireworks display choreographed to music provided by MIX 100. This event is free, with food and beverage available for purchase, and suitable for the whole family!


Family Festival & Fireworks

Where: Cornerstone Park
When: July 4; festivities at 10 a.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.


Parker Stars and Stripes Celebration

Where: Salisbury Park
When: July 4; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and set up for an evening jam-packed with family fun. Many of the activities are complimentary. Six Million Dollar Band will be mixing it up with patriotic music and jamming to 80’s hits from 6 to 9:15 p.m. The evening will conclude with Parker’s biggest and best fireworks display to date. Check the link for advance purchase discounts on wristbands! 


4th of July in Thornton

Where: Carpenter Park Fields
When: July 4; festivities at 4 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Prepare for all-day festivities with food vendors and a beer garden. There will also be skydivers and parachutists just before the fireworks display.
